BLACK AUSTRALORP
 
Black Australorp’s are the Australian version of the Orpington breed. They are excellent layers; producing a light brown egg. Australorp’s have a calm, regal personality that make them a delight to have as part of your flock or as a pet. Their soft, shiny black plumage can have hints of green and purple in them making them enjoyable to watch.
 
The Black Australorp is bred to be a uniquely dual-purpose chicken used for laying eggs and as a hardy meat bird.  They do great in all climates including cold temperatures.
